About Todd Clark
Coach Todd Clark led the cross country and track team from Cloverleaf for 35 years. Under his guidance, his CC teams have had 47 invitational wins and 46 invitational runner-ups. His boys teams have qualified for the State meet 7 times and his girls teams four times. Willie Wiley in 1986 and Kim Malarkey in 1990 were State runner-ups. The girls placed second in 1988 and third in 1989. Coach Clark has also had 51 State CC qualifiers. In track, Coach Clark guided Dave Freeland to State runner-up in the 800 meter. He has had 52 individual State track qualifiers. Besides his coaching, Clark has helped the sport in other ways. He proposed the State CC poll in 1985 and has coordinated it ever since. He served as the Mid East coach and also helped set up the Scioto Downs State CC course. In 1976 and 1977 this deserving man organized an unofficial girls State meet to promote girls cross country.
