About The Elementary School Grant
OBJECTIVE OF THE ELEMENTARY GRANT
To provide support to teachers and coaches to promote the sport of Track and Field through a Field Day and build interest at the grassroots level.
EVENTS SPONSORED BY OATCCC FOR GRADES 3-5 FIELD DAY
- Soft Medicine Ball Shot Put (3rd: 2.2, 4th: 3.3, 5th: 4.4)
- 40 yard mini hurdle sprint (10 hurdles,12 feet apart)
- 40 yard sprint
- 400 yard run
- 800-yard run
- Standing Broad Jump
- 300g Turbo Javelin
- COED (two boys/two girls) 400 yard relay (100 yards each leg)
Events do not have to be on a track. You can measure your own distances.
