About The Elementary School Grant


OBJECTIVE OF THE ELEMENTARY GRANT

To provide support to teachers and coaches to promote the sport of Track and Field through a Field Day and build interest at the grassroots level.

EVENTS SPONSORED BY OATCCC FOR GRADES 3-5 FIELD DAY
  • Soft Medicine Ball Shot Put (3rd: 2.2, 4th: 3.3, 5th: 4.4)
  • 40 yard mini hurdle sprint (10 hurdles,12 feet apart)
  • 40 yard sprint
  • 400 yard run
  • 800-yard run
  • Standing Broad Jump
  • 300g Turbo Javelin
  • COED (two boys/two girls) 400 yard relay (100 yards each leg)

Events do not have to be on a track. You can measure your own distances.

OATCCC Will Award

One grant in each OATCCC district (16 per year).
