About Theresa Diggs
Theresa Diggs, an outstanding sprinter and jumper, attended Bishop Hartley H.S. where she was coached by Jeri Price. While in high school, Ms. Diggs ran the 100M in 11.7, the 200 M. in 25.44, and long jumped 19’ 2.5”. At the State meet, Ms. Diggs, placed first in all 3 events plus was a member of the championship 800R. team. Her marks at the 1984 Div. 2 State meet set 3 new records and tied a record in the 4th event. Theresa attended Ohio State where long jump (20’ 11.25”) and triple jump (40’ 3.5”) were her specialties. She set a school record with her long jump. Theresa was the Big Ten Champion both indoor and outdoor and set 8 Ohio outdoor collegiate and 6 Ohio indoor collegiate records. She also qualified for the Olympic trials.
