About Monica O. Gary

Monica Gary is one of the leading track coaches in the nation. She has coached high school track for 25 years and cross-country for 17 years. Ms. Gary led the girls' teams at John Adams HS from 1975-1995 and coached at Beaumont HS from 1995 - 1999. Monica is presently the the assistant coach at Purdue University. Ms. Gary's accomplishments include: 7 district titles, 5 regional titles; 7 state titles; 2 state runners-up; 14 individual state champions; 13 state relay champions; 9 state meet record holders; 12 high school All-Americans. Personal honors include being a staff member at the Atlanta Olympics, assistant coach at the Olympic Sports Festival, the first female recipient of the Ed Barker Award, and many others. Monica works tirelessly and has been a leading force for the coaches' organization. She has served as a district representative for 15 years, been Ohio coach for the Midwest Meet of Champions, and has spoken many times at our coaches clinic.
