About Lavonna Martin Floreal
Lavonna Martin Floreal is arguably the best athlete to ever graduate from Trotwood-Madison HS. During her career, Lavonna recorded the following results at the state meet: 100m hurdles - 1st two years, 3rd once; 300m hurdles - 1st once; 200- 1st twice; 100m dash - 1st once and 2nd once. During her HS career of 1981-84, Lavonna set 17 meet records. In indoor track, she set three national hs records. Mrs. Floreal graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in education. While a Vol, she was an All-American 14 times. Other accomplishments include winning three individual and two relay NCAA events, setting a Pan American Games record, winning three national TAC 100 hurdles titles, placing second in the world indoor championships, making the finals in the 1988 Olympics, and winning the silver medal in the 1992 Olympics. Mrs. Floreal currently resides and teaches in Palo Alto, California.
