Joe Crallie (2008)
About Joe Crallie
A graduate of Sandy Valley, Joe Crallie ran track under Coach Ed Lidderdale. This speedster excelled at the 100 M. (10.6) and the 200 M. (22.1). He was equally outstanding in the Long Jump with a tremendous leap of 24’ 3 1/2”. It was in the long jump where Mr. Crallie set a Div. II record in 1994 and a Div. III record in 1995. He still holds both divisions' records. In 1995, Joe led his team to a 2nd place finish at the State Meet. Mr. Crallie went on to further his career while at Ohio State. His best jump was 25’5”. In the Big Ten Championships, Joe placed 5th in ’96, 4th in ’97, and 4th in ’99.
