About Bob Lunn

Under the guidance of Coach Mike Garcia, Bob Lunn ran for Austintown Fitch. This outstanding athlete specialized in distance. His best time for the 2-mile outdoors was 9:11 while he ran a 9:07 indoors. He also excelled in the mile and in the 800M. Bob achieved a first place finish in both State meets in Cross Country and in the 2-mile in Track. In 1972, he was undefeated for the season winning all major meets. Bob attended college in the fall of 1974 at Mount Union where he led the team to a Div. III National title with a 4th place (All American) finish. He then attended Bowling Green from spring of 1974 – 79. While there, he ran the 5,000 M. in 13:58 and the mile in 4:05. Mr. Lunn was the MAC Champion in both the 5,000 and the 10,000. He served as the Captain of the Bowling Green Cross Country team in 1978.
