Class of 1996

Dugan Hill

Dugan Hill is in his 18th year of coaching . His cross country teams won the state meet for six consecutive years from 1987 through 1992. His overall coaching record during these 17 years is 1,131 wins and 106 loses. In track Dugan has coached many outstanding individuals. Dugan has ben very active in the OAT&CCC having served as District Represenative, Vice Presisent, and Presisent.

 

George Gross

As a student and athlete George Gross attended Cleveland West Technical High School and the University of Notre Dame. While in high school, he ran on his high school's state championship cross country team and placed 3rd in the mile in the State Track Meet. George was an outstanding coach at Lincoln High School in Cuyahoga Heights. Coach Gross coached state champions in the mile, hurdles, pole vault. and shot put. George served as a track official for many years and founded the Greater Cleveland Track Coaches Association.

George Nicholas

George Nicholas ran for Dayton Meadowdale High School from 1978-1980. In cross country he placed first in the state for three years and broke the state record each year. In track, George had a mile time of 4:13 and two mile time of 9:01. While in college George earned All-American status in track and cross country three times. He also competed in three World Cross Country Championship Meets.

 

Les Nagy

Les Nagy attended Niles McKinley High School. Les won the state track two mile in 1968 and 1970. He also won the state cross country meet in 1969. While in high school Les set four state distance records. While attendeing Villanova University, Les ran both track and cross country.
