Tom Elkins

Tom Elkins has been the boys track and field coach at Cleveland John Marshall High School since 1979. He has been the boys cross country coach from 1975 through 1977, 1986 through 1989, and 1992 & 1993. His teams have won two State High School Team titles and three District and Regional Titles. Tom was named the boys Track&Field Career State Coach of the Year in 1992. His teams have won two Mansfield Relay Titles. He has been the Head Coach of the Midwest Meet of Champions. Tom's athletes have won seven individual titles at the State Track Meet.

Patty Metzler

Patty Metzler ran for North Jackson , Jackson Milton High School, North Carolina State University, and Cleveland State University. She participated in the NCAA and Kinney National High school Cross Country Meets. Patty won seven events in the State High School meets. She set two state high school records. Patty coached cross country at Youngstown State University.

Kristy Orre Brockert

Kristy Orre ran for Clayton Northmont High School and the University of Kentucky. She won one Junior National event. Kristy won several Southeastern Conference events. She won seven State High School individual titles. Kristy ran on the winning NCAA Cross Country team. She set five state high school records.

Connie Jo Robinson Mattocks

Connie Jo Robinson ran at Reading High School and North Carolina State University. She scored three times in the NCAA Cross Country Meet, and once each in the NCAA Track Meet and the Tac Cross Country meet. She won the Kinney National High school Cross Country Meet. Connie Jo won four State High school Meet events and set one state high school record.

Alan Scharsu

Alan Scharsu ran for Austintown Fitch High School and Penn State University. He scored in the NCAA, TAC, and Junior National Track & Fields and Cross Country Meets. Alan competed in the World Cross Country Championships. He won the 2 mile run in the Golden West National High School Track Meet, and the Atlanta Track Classic. He won seven events in the State High School Meets and set seven state high school records.

John Zishka

John Zishka ran for Lancaster High School, Penn State University, and the University of Oregon. He won two 5,000 meter events in the Junior Nationals while in high school. John scored and earned All-American status in the NCAA Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track & Field Meets. John won the mile run in the Golden West National High School Track & Field Meet, breaking the meet record established by Jim Ryan. John won five events in the State High School Meets. He set eleven outdoor and four indoor state high school records.
