Todd Bell sprinted and jumped
for Middletown High School. Todd won three long jumps
in the State Track Championships. He won the long jump
in the International Prep Invitational and set three state
long jump records. He scored in the 100 and 220 in the
State Track Meet.
Nancy
Shafer Boudeau
Nancy Shafer Boudreau ran for
North Canton Hoover High School and Wooster College. Nancy
set eight state high school and 14 Ohio collegiate records.
She ran on six U.S. National teams and scored in many
national AAU meets.
Ann
Henderson
Ann Henderson ran for Brecksville
High School, North Carolina State University, and Cleveland
State University. Ann won three State High School Meet
events and set four state high school records and one
Ohio collegiate record.
John
Hinton
John Hinton has been the boys
cross country coach at Sandusky Perkins Township High
School since 1972 to the present. Hinton's teams have
won three State High School Cross Country meets and has
been runnerup once. His teams have won two district/regional
and 13 conference meets. He has coached three individual
state meet winners and was named Boys Cross Country State
Honored Coach of the Year in 1988. He was the Ohio Boys
Head Coach in the 1993 Mideast Cross Country Meet.
Bruce
Lerch
Bruce Lerch has been the boys
track and field coach at Brecksville since 1967. Bruce
has been the boys cross country coach since 1966 and the
girls cross country coach since 1977 and still holds all
three positions to the present. His girls cross country
teams have been runnerup in the State High School meet
twice. His cross countrty teams have won four District/Regional
and 14 conference meets. His track and field teams have
won 12 conference meets. Bruce was named Girls Cross Country
State Honored Coach of the Year in 1983.
Susan
Nash
Susan Nash ran for Zanesville
Rosecrans High School and University of Florida. Susan
won ten events in the State High School Track and Field
Meet and two State Cross Country Individual titles. She
ran on one Indoor NCAA winning 3200 meter relay team that
earlier set the American and world records. Nash scored
in one other indoor NCAA event.
Jon
Thomas
Jon Thomas ran and hurdles
for Zanesville High School and Indiana University. Jon
won three hurdle events in the State High School Track
& Field Meet. Jon won seven Big Ten events and scored
three times in the NCAA outdoor 400 hurdles and once in
the National TAC Championships.
