Suzanne "Sue" Knott

Ran only for the Ohio Track Club because her high school, Columbus North, and her college Ohio State University, did not sponser women's track. She set two state high school records and won three national AAU events while in high school. Sue set six Ohio college records and won three more national AAU events while in college. She set one national record and participated in one Pan American Games.

Al Lanier

Al Laneir was a versatile sprinter, jumper, and hurdler for Cincinnati Hughes High School and the University of Cincinnati. Won one event in the state meet. In college he was second four times in the NCAA long jumps and once in the national AAU long jump. He was third in the Pan American Games and set three Ohio college records.

John Sanders

Coached boys track at Olmstead Falls from 1953 through 1986. Coached two years of cross country at the same school. His track teams won three district/regional meets and one conference meet. Coached four individuals to wins in the state track meet. His dual/tri record was 132 wins. Was an OATC officer. Founded and managed the Olmstead Falls Bulldog Relays. Official.

Rita Somerlot

Rita Somerlot has coached girls track at Centerville High School from 1982 to the present. Served as an assistant coach from 1976 through 1981. Rita coached one team to a runnerup in the state meet. Won eight conference meets and one district/regional meet. Coached five individual state meet champions. Undefeated in dual meets. Official.

Garin Veris

Threw shot put and discus for Chillicothe High School and Stanford University. Won the shot put and discus twice each in the state meet. Won the Golden West national meet.

Charles "Chuck" Zody

Coached track at Utica High School from 1960 through 1963 and cross country and track at Hilliard High School from 1963 through 1966. Won two conference meets at Utica. Became head track and cross country coach at Miami University in 1971 to the present. Has won seven Mid American Conference cross country meets and two team titles in track. Has won six All-Ohio cross countrty meets. Has won 84 dual track meets and 107 dual cross country meets. Has coached one NCAA individual champion
