Vinson "Buff" Taylor

Has been the boys track coach at Dayton Jefferson Township High School since 1976. His team has won six state high school meets for boys and runnersup four times. Has won nine district/regional titles. Has coached 29 individual state track meet champions. Was the girls track coach in 1975, 1976, and 1980. Won one state track meet title and was runnerup once. Won two district/regional meets. Coached nine individual girl state champions.

Robert Kritzer

Coached track at Toledo Rogers High School in 1956 and 1957. Has coached track at Kettering Fairmont High School from 1962 through 1988. Coached cross country at Fairmont from 1967 through 1972. Has won six conference titles. Has coached one individual state high school track champion.

Edward Chay

Founder, editor, and publisher of "Ohio Track and Field News" for 24 years from 1964 through 1988. Founder, editor, and publisher of "Ohio Indoor Report" for eight years from 1976 through 1984. Dedicated to the promotion of high school track and cross country. For many years his newspaper was the major source of statewide track and field and cross country information.

Edgar C. "Ed" Barker

Member and prime organizer of the committee that organized the Ohio Track Coaches Association. Editor of the "Ohio Trackster" which was the only means of communication of the sport at the time. Served as secretary/treasurer of the Association. Conducted numerous surveys concerning track and was responsible for presenting the coaches views to the OHSAA. Was a successful high school track athlete. The most prestigious award given by the OAT&CCC - the Ed Barker Award- is given in the honor for all the contributions and dedication he gave to Ohio track and field. Official.

Robert Edward Lawson II

Ran for Toledo Libbey High School and University of Iowa. Won five state individual championships while as a student at Toledo Libbey-100 dash twice, 200 dash twice, and ran on a winning 4x220 relay. Set state records in the 100 and the 220. Won the International Prep Championship 220 in 1972 and tied the high school record in the 60 yard dash at the 1972 USTFF indoor championship.

Charles "Chuck" Lucas

From 1969 coached track for 18 years at Kent Roosevelt and 19 years of cross country. Won two state cross country team titles. Won four district cross country championships and 15 conference meets. Won the regional once and state runnerup in cross country once. His girls team won the unofficial 1975 girls state championship. Coached ten All-Ohio cross country athletes. Won 218 dual/tri cross country meets.

Ted Corbitt

Competed for Cincinnati Woodward and Cincinnati University. Outstanding miler who had most success at the college level. Was national AAU marathon champion. Held five American records in distance running. Participated in one Olympic Marathon.
