Coached track at Cleveland John Adams High school from 1951 through 1960 and cross country from 1951 through 1959. Coached track at Bowling Green State University from 1961 through 1981. Coached cross country at Bowling Green from 1960 through 1984. Won one Mid American Conference track and one MAC cross country title. Won two State High School track meets and two State High School cross country meets. Won one NCAA district cross country title. Second in the NCAA Indoor Track Meet. Won four All-Ohio cross country titles. Won three high school district track meets and three district cross country meets. Coached nine individual State High School Track Meet winners and two State High School Cross Country Meet winners. Coached seven NCAA individual winners. OATC president. NCAA Track and Cross Country Coaches president. Ed Barker Award. Meet manager.

Ron Dotson

Coached track at Lima Central High School from 1934 through 1942 and at Lima Senior from 1947 through 1974. Coached cross country at Central from 1933 through 1941 and at Senior from 1948 through 1975. Won seven district trsck meets and four district/regional cross country meets. Coached one State Cross Country individual champion. Won 194 dual/tri track meets and over 100cross country meets. Official.

Les Eisenhart

Coached track at Port Clinton in 1942 and 1943, and cross country in 1941, 1942, and 1943. Coached track at Worthington from 1947 through1979 and cross country from 1946 through 1977. Won State Cross Country championship. Won 24 league and 18 district cross country titles. Won 20 conference and seven district track meets. Coached five individual state track meet winners and two state cross country meet individual winners. Ran for Columbus North and Ohio State University. Won one event in the State High School Track Meet. Scored twice in the AAU outdoor 1500 and once in the 800. Scored twice in the NCAA outdorr 880 and once in the NCAA Cross Country Championsips. Ed Barker Award. OATC president. Boys Track Coach of the year. Set two Ohio college indoor records and one Ohio college outdoor record. Official.

Warren "Mousey" Eisenhutt

Coached track at Xenia OSSO, Woodrow Wilson in 1942 and from 1945 through 1975. Won four State High School Track Meets and runnerup twice. Won 16 district and eight conference track meets. Coached 18 individual state high school track events. Won 130 dual/tri track meets. OATC president.

Rufus "Rufe" Glass

Coached track at Eaton from 1943 through 1946. Coached track at Columbus West from 1947 through 1971. Coached cross country at West from 1946 through 1970. Had one State High School Cross country Meet runnerup. Won five district and nine league cross country championships. Won two league track meets. Coached three State High School Track Meet indiviaual winners and three State High School Cross Country individual winners. OATC treasuer. Ed Barker Award. Official.

Leonard Reicheit

Coached track at Cuyahoga Heights High School from 1943 through 1963. Had one runnerup team in the State High School Track Meet. Won six district track meets, two indoor conference, and one outdoor conference track meet. Coached five individual State High School Track Meet championships. Founded and managed the Cuyahoga Heights Relays.

Robert Rice

Coached track at Shaker Heights High School from 1950 through 1986 and cross country from 1949 through 1985. Won six league and one district track meets. Won two league and one district cross country meets. Coached six individual State High School Track gold medalists. OATC president twice and 1983 Boys Track Coach of the Year. Official.

Frank Shands

Coached track at Cincinnati DePorres from 1948 through 1964, at Cincinnati Purcell from 1965 through 1970, and at Cincinnati Princeton from 1971 through 1981. Coached cross country at DePorres from 1960 through 1963, at Purcell from 1964 through1967, and at Princeton from 1978 through 1981. Won two State High School Track titles and four runnersup. Won ten district meets at DePorres. Won five track and four cross country league titles at Purcell and won four track leagues at Princeton. Coached 18 individual State High School Track Meet champions. Meet founder and manager. Won over 100 dual/tri track meets. Was a successful discus thrower at Miami University. Meet founder and manager.

Kenneth Somerlot

Coached track at Harpster from 1939 through 1945 and at Marion Harding from 1948 through 1966. Coached cross country at Harding from 1948 through 1971. Won one State High School Cross Country championship. Won eight district and eight league track meets. Won three league and eight district cross country meets. Founded and managed the Marion Relays. Won 191 dual/tri cross country meets and over 100 dual/tri track meets. OAT&CCC president.

Joe Stevens

Coached track at Columbus East High School from 1923 through 1929. Was runnerup twice in the state high school track meet. Won two league and one district meet. Coached individual state high school track meet championships. Coached two Olympians.

Dale "Tommy" Thompson

Coached track at Salineville from 1927 through 1931, at Frazeyburg from 1933 through 1935, at Barnesville from 1936 through 1938, at Rittman from 1940 through 1942, at Euclid Central from 1944 through 1949, and at Euclid Senior from 1956 through 1969. Coached Cross Country at Western Reserve University from 1950 through 1953 and at Euclid Senior from 1955 through 1968. Won nine league and three district track meets. Won five league and four district cross country meets. Coached two state high school track meet individual champions. Won 535 dual/tri track meets, and over 100 cross country meets. Meet Manager.

Robert White

Coached track at Akron North from 1936 through 1972 and cross country at North from 1935 through 1971. Won five state high school cross country meets and runnerup positions twice. Won one state high school track championship. Won 12 district and 12 league track titles.Won 11 league and 14 district cross country meets. Coached four state high school cross countrty meet individual champions and three individual state high school track meet winners. Official.

Frank Zubovich

Coached track at Cleveland Glenville High School from 1957 through 1966 and cross country at Glenville from 1960 through 1965. Has coached track at Ohio State University from 1976 through 1988. His Glenville track teams won four state high school track championships and two runnerup. Won five indoor conference, Five outdoor conference and five district/regional track meets. Coached 16 individuals state high school track meet winners and one individual state high school cross country meet gold medalist. Has coached one individual NCAA outdoor track champion at Ohio State. Was a successful runner at Columbus South High School and Ohio State University. Meet Manager.

Gene Cole

Ran for Lancaster High School and Ohio State University. Set the national high school record in the 440 in the 1948 state high school track meet. Also won two other events in that meet. Ran on the second place 4 X 400 meter relay team in the 1952 Olympics. Won one big ten conference title. Scored in one national AAU 400.

James Gordon

Ran for Cleveland Heights High School and Miami University. Placed fifth in the 1936 Olympic Games 400. Won three 400's and one mile relay in conference meets. Runnerup in one NCAA 400. Scored twice in national AAU 400.Set one Ohio College outdorr record, and one Ohio college indorr record. Coached track at Cleveland West Tech High School for nine years where his teams won one indoor abd two outdoor conference titles. Won one district meet and coached one individual state high school track meet champion. Coached track at Lehigh University and the Iowa Preflight School. Assistant coach at Miami University. Official. Meet Manager.

Jesse Owens

Ran, hurdled, and jumped for Cleveland East Tech High School and Ohio State University. Won four gold medals in the 1936 Olympics. Set/tied 12 outdoor world records and four indoor world records, all were American records and all but one a college record. That other one came in high school when he ran a 9.4 - 100 yards at Chicago National High School Track Meet, where he also won the 220 and long jump. The 220 win was also a national record. He had set the national record in the long jump earlier in the season for a total of three national records. Six of the world records came in the 1935 Big Ten outdoor meet. He won four national AAU outdoor events and scored in four others and two AAU indoor events. He won nine events in the state high school track meet. He won the national AAU long jump while in high school. He set the national high school record in the indoor 50. He set 11 Ohio high school outdoor and two indoor records. He set 15 Ohio college outdoor and six indoor records. He is also enshrined in the National Track Hall of Fame.

Paul Warfield

Sprinted, jumped, and hurdled for Warren Harding High School and Ohio State University. Scored in two outdoor NCAA long jumps and two national AAU outdoor long jumps. Won two Big Ten individual titles and won two events in the state high school track meet. Participated on one national team. Set one Ohio high school outdoor state record.
