At the East District Coaches meet the following athletes and coaches were selected as C.C. Runners and Coaches of the year 2007.

East District All Academic

There were a total of 80 Athletes honored ( 35 Male and 45 Female ) for maintaining at least a 3.5 accumulative and qualifying to Regional.

Officers elected for The East District Track and CC Association are as follows:

At our meeting last Wednesday the following cross Country coaches were honored
as coaches of the year.Eric Laughlin from Buckeye Local for Boy's DII and
Chris Arno from Bellaire for Girl's DIII Kelly Nangle was Girl's D II. I
should be mailing each of you a resume that needs to be filled out and mailed
back to me by December 10th.

The coaches from District 5 ( above I 70 ) were D I Boy's Doug Smith New
Philadelphia-D I Girl's Larry Cogan Carrolton-D III Boy's Darryl Ball
Ridgewood
Also selected as Athlete of the year were.
D I Boy's Austin Carney Zanesville
D I Girl's Amanda Moyer Carrolton
D II Boy's Cody Daniel Maysville
D II Girl's Tasha Modranski Edison
D III Boy's Chris Olinger Ridgewood
D III Girl's Kris Schuerle Barnesville and Katie Antonik Bellaire were elected
co-athletes of the year.

The All-Star teams were also selected. There were no Girl D I selected from
district 8. They all came from the Malone District and were the first 7 girls
from the Eastern District The D I Boy's were the first 7 finishers from the
Eastern District that competed at Rio Grande except the young man from East
Liverpool.  In D III Girl's & D III Boy's the first 16 finishers made our
All-Star team.In D II Girl's the first 16 finishers were honored. In the D II
Boy's we honored 33 total. The first 16 from the A race and the first 17 from
the B race.

The state cross country meet had problems due to the fact that the company in
charge of the chips handed the out backwards from the way they assigned the
chips to the competitors number. It was all fixed and the final results were
posted on Monday.

Don't forget the Cross Country Clinic at Westerville South on December 11th
and the State Track clinic January 27-28-29 at the Hilton at Easton. Dugan
